West Cook Business Alliance (WCBA) Business Alliance Collectives bring together members with shared industries, interests, and business challenges. Each Collective creates opportunities for peer-to-peer networking, resource sharing, professional development, collaborative purchasing and marketing, workforce development, advocacy, and new business opportunities.
While members connect through their individual Collectives, every Collective remains part of one regional Alliance committed to strengthening the economic ecosystem of West Suburban Cook County.
INNOVATION & TOURISM COLLECTIVE
Connecting businesses and organizations that help make West Cook a destination for innovation, culture, recreation, events, hospitality, arts, technology, and visitor experiences. Members collaborate to promote regional attractions, develop new experiences, strengthen destination marketing, encourage innovation, and bring more visitors and economic activity into our communities.
LARGE CHAIN COLLECTIVE
Bringing together regional and national retailers, franchises, grocery stores, hotels, service providers, and other major employers operating within West Cook. The Collective creates a direct channel between larger businesses and regional leadership while encouraging local hiring, community investment, supplier diversity, small-business partnerships, expansion, and long-term corporate engagement in West Cook communities.
DINING & ENTERTAINMENT COLLECTIVE
Connecting West Cook's restaurants, cafés, caterers, bars, lounges, entertainment venues, food entrepreneurs, event operators, and hospitality businesses. The Collective works to strengthen the regional dining and entertainment economy through joint promotion, destination experiences, vendor and supplier relationships, workforce development, special events, procurement opportunities, and initiatives that encourage residents and visitors to eat, experience, and spend locally.
SMALL BUSINESS COLLECTIVE
A network for locally owned small businesses that form the backbone of West Cook's commercial corridors and neighborhoods. Members connect around business growth, financing, marketing, procurement, technology, employee development, customer acquisition, and operational support while building stronger relationships with municipalities, institutions, and other businesses throughout the region.
WORKFORCE COLLECTIVE
Connecting employers, schools, colleges, workforce agencies, training organizations, unions, apprenticeship programs, staffing organizations, and career-development partners around one goal: building the workforce West Cook businesses need. Members collaborate to identify workforce gaps, create career pathways, expand apprenticeships and internships, connect residents to employment, and align education and training with current and emerging industry opportunities.
INDUSTRIAL & MANUFACTURING COLLECTIVE
Connecting manufacturers, industrial businesses, distributors, logistics companies, suppliers, fabricators, OEMs, and related enterprises that drive the regional economy. Members collaborate around workforce pipelines, infrastructure, supply chains, procurement, technology, available industrial property, business expansion, transportation, sustainability, and opportunities to strengthen West Cook's position as a competitive manufacturing and logistics hub.
INFRASTRUCTURE & SUSTAINABILITY COLLECTIVE
Bringing together businesses working in construction, utilities, energy, transportation, engineering, environmental services, development, public infrastructure, green technology, and related industries. Members explore opportunities created by public and private investment while advancing resilient infrastructure, energy efficiency, sustainable development, contracting opportunities, and modernization throughout West Cook.
E-COMMERCE & NON-BRICK-AND-MORTAR COLLECTIVE
Created for entrepreneurs whose businesses operate online, virtually, mobile, through social media, at pop-ups, through marketplaces, or without a traditional storefront. Members receive connections and resources focused on e-commerce, digital marketing, technology, fulfillment, logistics, payment systems, business formalization, financing, customer growth, and pathways from online or mobile operations into larger-scale enterprises.
MICRO BUSINESS COLLECTIVE
Designed for entrepreneurs, startups, home-based businesses, independent professionals, makers, and businesses with very small teams. This Collective helps emerging businesses move from an idea or side business toward sustainable growth through mentorship, technical assistance, networking, access to capital, business education, procurement opportunities, and pathways toward future expansion.

The Collectives are not intended to create silos within WCBA. They create industry tables that ultimately connect to one regional economic table.
Through the Collectives, WCBA can identify common challenges and opportunities across industries, connect smaller businesses with larger corporations, develop local supplier and procurement pipelines, align employers with workforce resources, connect entrepreneurs with capital, and give businesses a stronger collective voice with municipal, county, state, and federal partners.
